Why Are We Thankful?

Why Are We Thankful?

My grandson did a craft in pre-school, he had leaves and told the teacher what he wanted her to write, then he used a massive amount of glue to attach leaves to a coloring page. The teacher only put “car” on a leaf. I asked him which car? “Papa’s sexy car that he’s going to give me.” (not happenin’) I asked if he was thankful for his new baby brother? His answer, “Not yet.”

As you can tell I think my grand’s are pretty funny. But seriously, their little brains are thinking a mile a minute and two — or three, or more — thoughts blend together. That’s why I love that book “All I Really Need I Learned in Kindergarten”.

At Davelle we are reflecting on 26 years of gratitude. Thankful for customers who have become family over the years. We call them clients, but they are friends that our stylists have outfitted for weddings, graduations, first job interviews, family reunions, baby baptism or dedication, Bar and Bat mitzvahs, anniversary’s and holidays.

In short everyone here at Davelle is thankful for YOU! You, who send us amazing pictures of events wearing our clothes. You, who have shopped at our new location and told others about your satisfaction with our service. You, who stop over for a visit to share vacation pictures or tell us what is happening in your life.

David and I have been a part of the retail world for over 40 years and we have never had patrons that make us feel like family, you are without price, thank you.

“The gift was not large as money goes, and my need was not great, but the spirit of the gift is beyond price and leaves me blessed and in debt.” Robert Fulghum from All I Really Need I Learned in Kindergarten
