In this post, we catch up with one of our favorite and most exclusive US distributors of European men’s sportswear and asked a few of your most pressing questions. Here’s what she had to say.

What kind of interesting trends are you seeing in men’s jeans/casual wear?

We are finally getting on board with the slim trend from Europe but it seems the pleat in an updated slim model is making a comeback.

Any trends for millennial men in terms of casual wear?

As we see in magazines and ads the wide leg is making a splash but when you look on the street the slim silhouette still dominates.

Specific to European jeans, what makes them special and more comfortable than other jeans/casual wear?

Alberto has been producing men’s pants for over 90 years. So they have got the fit down. The luxury fabrics with stretch give them the comfort. Even with the fashionable slim models, the man is still comfortable because of the stretch. These fabrics also have some technical sides to them, the stretch yarns that Alberto uses holds the shape and color of the garment.

What do you love about working with innovative European brands?

There are many things that I love. I love that every season there is something new and fresh. It is a reset button every 6 months. The brands we work with in Europe are creative, inspiring, and do a lot of hand sewing and designing.
