What to Wear for Valentine’s Day
Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Hopefully by now you have made plans for a special night with your sweetheart. From reservations to the gift and card, there are a lot of details to think about! In all your preparations, don’t overlook your wardrobe. If you wait until the last minute, you won’t look your best. Show you care about your date- she is surely putting some thought and care into her attire, and when you do the same it compliments her.To make things easier, the Wardrobe Consultants at Davelle Clothiers have put together three Valentine’s Day looks, ranging from casual to dressy casual to dressy.
The first outfit is selected by Wardrobe Consultant Hussein Rassoul. For your more casual date, he recommends these dark Alberto jeans (which just arrived in the store), Robert Graham shirt, and Austin Heller shoes, perfect for staying in, or going to the movies. He particularly likes how the red lines in the jeans and red accent on the shoes go with the stripes in the shirt. This kind of attention to detail makes a casual outfit stylish and sharp. Not to mention the additional detail yo always get with Robert Graham on the contrasting cuffs. Although this outfit is comprised of “jeans and a shirt”, it will impress your date and make you stand out as a couple.
Next up is a dressy casual outfit by Wardrobe Consultant Michael Trotman. He also goes with Robert Graham and Alberto for a contemporary, cutting edge look. Anytime you want to make a casual outfit dressier, the first thing you should reach for is a well made, great fitting blazer. This will instantly take your outfit to the next level. This outfit and jeans make a statement. The belt adds additional polish for this confident gentleman. A pair of slacks would also work well with this outfit and make it even dressier.
Finally, Tim Bumba recommends this dressy outfit featuring a Canali suit, and a shirt, tie, and pocket square from David’s Master Collection. The light grey is the perfect background for the bright burst of color, while also toning it down with elegance.
The polka dots also provide excellent contrast with the lines in the shirt, showing how playing patterns off each other creates a sophisticated, well put together look. And the pocket square give the raspberry color a one- two punch.
