In the Spotlight, Lenny Gonzales “Luxury and reliability for my appearance just like the cars I promote”

Lenny Gonzales is no stranger to working hard, starting as a “lot boy” and working his way up to the role of general manager at Pohanka Acura. As his responsibility and ranking with the dealership began to increase, so did his need to look the part.

Enter colleague and friend Scott Brewer of Pohanka Lexus, an existing client at Davelle Clothiers. States Mr. Gonzales, “Scott came by one day some 15 years ago in an outfit that looked outstanding. While not a slave to fashion, I inquired about the jacket he was wearing.” Following suit (no pun intended), Gonzales had the chance to meet the owner of Davelle Clothiers, David Eisele, when he came to hand deliver some items to Brewer at his Lexus dealership location. Mr. Eisele then spoke with Mr. Gonzales at the dealership, answering his questions about proper attire and suggesting how to create an image that would fit both Mr. Gonzales’s personal style and professional needs. Impressed by both the personal service and the time Mr. Eisele took to answer questions, a meeting at the store was set up. Mr. Gonzales states, “David took me out of my comfort zone exponentially. So much so, that I don’t know if I really have a comfort zone anymore. What I get is high quality with expert tailoring, and you cannot have one of those without the other.”

With an Acura dealership location that serves the wealthy counties of Fairfax and Loudoun and as an individual who represents both clients and employees in one of the largest Acura stores in the world, Gonzales knows that it is imperative to look the part to build confidence and trust from clients. He has not only been able to build this confidence in others but also in himself, by knowing that he looks and feels his best.
